Visiting with Ali and Richard

The rain comes down as we head to Southampton and Ali and Richards place. We make it in time for lunch- a much quicker and more pleasant drive than last year, and a lovely salad from Ali and Richards kitchen garden is their to greet us when we get there.

Ali and Richards daughter Phoebe is a real little treasure- walking and talking all over the place. The rain abates and we spend the afternoon riding a little train and playing with a soccer ball. I am pleased to see that Alexander seems respectful of Phoebe's abilities. (This bodes well for the future).

Ali cooks us a superlative dinner with many items from the organic kitchen garden and we chat the night away. [Contented sigh]
