Rod, years ago I was fascinated to discover that there's a great tradition of men knitting in Yorkshire and beyond. There's even a great tradition of men carving knitting needles for their sweethearts. My father knitted, but wouldn't let on for fear of ridicule. I knitted but only to join in with my (3) sisters.
