Back to Work

At 8:30am I went to Kinko’s to get my email and make some calls- I had over 25Mb of email totaling over 1600 messages. This volume was quite daunting even for me.
Around 9:40am having stared at a few key emails, noting a lot of the stuff I had set up to happen while I was gone had indeed happened, I started the commute. I drove onto 85 and stopped in a massive traffic jam. Some inconsiderate b*st*rd had gone and had an accident which meant I wouldn’t be getting to work any time soon.

I reached the office by 10:30am only to find the parking lot was completely full and I had nowhere to park. I turned around and drove to a coffee shop in Sunnyvale and started staring at my email again.

I had lunch with Chris and by the time it was over, I had resolved my email problem. I drove back to the office and parked in a free slot (someone was still at lunch and going to be out of luck when they got back). I fired up the laptop and created a folder called “Sabbatical Email”. I then moved my entire Inbox into that folder- End of email problem. Next!
