The Concert

At the end of today's school day Alexander and his classmates performed some seasonal songs for the parents. I was amazed at how many they had learned. The most popular song in Alexanders repertoire being a version of Jingle Bell that had the following chorus:
"Santa Claus you're so fat. How much do you weigh?"
"I was sleeping peacefully and now my bed is flat!"
Alexanders teacher Mr Martin balanced his pupils vocal skills by accompanying them on an "Auto Harp"- an instrument which when in tune would sound similar to the ring tone of a cheap mobile with a flat battery, placed in a shoebox. However, Mr. Martin's instrument was not in tune.
