On to the next chapter

All too soon it was time to head off to our next location. My mother took our departure particulalry hard as this trip she had really bonded with Alexander. This trip of all trips he had been his most open, friendly and communicative with his Grand Old Parents. And my mother wore her hearing aid!

I planned to split the journey in London and spend a few hours either in the Science Museum or Hyde Park. Alas the wee man was so excited to be going to see his cousins he really didn't want to do anything in London which was decidedly disapointing for me. All he wanted to do was sit in the station and wait for this train. After a brief stroll to the Italian gardens in Hyde Park we did just that- wandering aimlessly round the station for a couple of hours.
