The Petrified Irony

While I remember: There were stores all around the Petrified Forest selling pieces of petrified wood- and I mean dozens and dozens of stores selling everything from chips to logs. Even one of our hotels was selling little bags of polished petrified wood at reception stating that it was a "Vanishing Jewel of the South West." Ironic or what?
