Surviving TIDC
Our vacation in Capitola didn't seem to improve my health much. I've been having heart palpitations off and on this year and the week of our vacation my heart seems to get stuck on fast forward and I am getting short of breath doing even little things. The last item could be due to the fact that the owners of the house must have kept a pet in the bedrooms which seems to have triggered my asthma.
To cap it all, when I got back from vacation I got a flu bug which put me in bed for a couple of days. I nearly cancelled my trip to the TI Developers Conference in Dallas, but with so many people depending on me and my temperature finally getting below a 100 I decided to go.
I'll never forget the walk from the hotel where I was staying to the hotel where the event was taking place. It seemed like a 100 miles and I had to stop regularly to catch my breath. I didn't dare eat anything for breakfast in case I threw it up all over a journalist. It would make the interview a memorable event for sure, but perhaps not a favorably remembered event and would certainly add new meaning to the phrase "Media Coverage".
After 3 days I finally get to go home and go to bed. I hope I feel better soon.
