Out!
My mother has finally escaped from Kettering General Hospital. Or at least I think that would be how she would have described it. She is now in a re-habilitation facility near Kettering and has her own room. From talking with her I note her voice is much stronger and my father tells me she can now walk without a (walker/zimmer frame). She is still on oxygen and will probably be that way for the rest of her time, but she can disconnect from it for periods of time to go to places without risk.
My Mums view of her new location varies day-to-day- one day she tells me its like a hotel another she bemoans her incarceration in an institution that doesn’t serve her tea in time with her dinner.
All in all her progress from ground zero has been quite remarkable and I hope she soon will get home. My father is working to have a stair lift installed.
