Gone Fishing

Fishing is a great tradition in Dena's family and certainly one which Alexander has been keen to take part in. Bob brought up some rods and lures and set about equipping Alexander with the essentials.
The first 3 attempts to actually fish were thwarted by either bad weather, bad behavior or bad luck and by the last day of our vacation Bob declared the he doubted Alexander had any interest at all. However, as evening drew close Alexander rallied and declared he would like to go fishing in the hole just up the river from the cabin so Bob took him up there.

His luck was in and he caught a fish on his first cast and had it for breakfast the next morning.

On our day of departure he tried again with similar success and declared this to be the best vacation he'd had.
