Arriving
Gray arrived to pick us up shortly after we arrived and wisked us off to the farmhouse where the Dawsons live. It was really lovely place down a little single track road with a barn across from it and cows in the field (that we fed in the evenings).
The farmhouse is probably several hundred years old with 18 inch thick walls. Julie has done a great job making it "home" for their stay in the UK with some very nice touches. I particularly liked putting a floral display in the obligatory 1960's serving hatch. All in all the house felt warm and welcoming, despite the rain.
Across the track from the house was a barn and a field of cows which the children enjoyed feeding.
