Celebrating the 4th on the 6th

If some had told me I would be one day celebrating the 4th of July on the 6th of July on US Naval base insider a Royal Air Force Base in Newquay, I would have called them mad. However that's just what we did. The US Navy didn't do things buy halves, well actually they did- they rented half a fair ground. It was a blast and the evening culminated with a spectacular fireworks display which I guess must have woken up the neigbours (but I guess they are used to it).
