Apple Picking

I took 3 days off this week to try and recharge my batteries and boy do they need it. On the Tues I took the train to Sacramento and back. I spent about 3 hours looking and the very commercialized old town but learnt some stuff about the transcontinental railroad that started out there along with it's precursor the Pony Express.

But it wasn't about being in Sacramento it was about getting there and getting back on the train and watching the world go by. That was what was important.

On the train back I hacked some video off my phone together from our trip to a small apple orchard just of the ocean that we happened to see signposted. We had a great time.

As I expected the jerky, blurry video quality leaves a lot to be desired but in some senses if fits with Fiona's perspective on life at this time.
